Every player can move any hero, but each person controls only particular actions, such as moving in one direction or exploring a new tile. You act at the same time to reach the equipment, then get the heroes to their exits before the sand timer runs out. Brief communication windows punctuate otherwise silent teamwork.
Talking and gesturing are restricted outside the permitted communication windows. The introductory scenarios introduce the rules gradually.
