A little about War of the Ring.
The game combines armies moving across Middle-earth with the Fellowship's journey towards Mordor. The Free Peoples try to defend their strongholds and advance the Ring quest while the Shadow pursues military and Hunt victories.
What you’ll do
- Allocate action dice between military and character plans
- Move armies or progress the Fellowship
- Pursue the edition's victory conditions
Good to know
This is the original 2004 base game, not the later Second Edition. Two players take opposing sides; three or four can use team rules.
